QuakeMap Accessories One by S.Bryan Loyd e-mail: sbloyd@epix.net filename: QM-Acc1.QME Description: Quakemap Accessories One is a little something I worked up in a few hours after a dry spell... I was reading Blue's page (http://www.bluesnews.com - a great Quake news page!) and saw that there was a contest to make Worldcraft prefab items. I've used Worldcraft before, but keep coming back to Quakemap, so I was inspired to do a packet of prefabs for my favourite editor. I've used no "alignable" textures, to keep headaches to a minimum, though there are "angled" entities (teleport destinations and door angles). Just about everything in here is something I've used time and again in maps, except the Quake Symbol - that was frivolous. Contents: Linked Round Teleporters - Similar to the Round Teleporter featured in the Quakemap default items set, but comes as a pair that bridge to each other. Hanging Torch - A round cage on a stick with a fire in it; the stem attatches to a convenient ceiling. Floor Torch - Not just an inverted Hanging Torch, but of similar make. Uses two flames (large and small) rather than one. Guillotine - The classic execution device, now in the comfort of your own home, courtesy of NordicTine. A huge scything blade that plummets from above - can you jump through in time? The Quake Symbol - In all its glory, a giant blue metal stylized 'Q'. If only it could spin, it'd be a giant Quad Damage. Spiral Staircase - A short flight of enclosed spiraling steps, with a nifty hiding place included. Ever see "The People Under The Stairs"? Hallway Arch - Just set dressing, really, with two small flickering flames set into it. Dress up those plain halls in style!
