CD to your \quake\id1 DIR. Once there, rename your autoexec.cfg and config.cfg to .old. Then unzip the con- tents of the file "thebeast.zip" to \quake\id1. Then just run Quake! The autoexec.cfg included loads the PRIMARY aliases\binds needed for the script. All SECONDARY aliases\binds can be loaded later by hitting "F1". This was done in a attempt to make the script more stable for network play on *heavily* modded servers, such as FvF,TF and some CTF servers. Read below for a idea of which keys are used right away, and which come into play later. Its helped greatly to see some shitz, such as NecroBois, and others (hes the only one who comes to mind) work first hand, before setting out and writing my own.. So greeeetz to all who have released scripts in this kick ass enginez' (Quakes) youth. Myself and two close friends\neighbors have been "beta testing" this script for about a month now... And in the process, its undergone many changes in code, structure, and what "goodies" it actually contained. I think that right now is the happiest I have been with it all though... Everything seems to be *very* tight, and most all moves\aliases execute quite flawlessly. I have improvised as much as possible on things like the grapple impulses, methods of strafing, etc etc. so as to give the user a wide variety of control options... The work you have here (th3.b34St) may have been heavily inspired by what has already been done, but is in no way a cheap duplicate of someone elses lame rocket jump. Its all my code.. and admitedly, alot of it sux =] But i honestly enjoyed Quake more *after* having scripted\used this than before... Paintballz! You heard right. Boo Hoo all the GORE is gone. Now your left with a challenging, fast paced game of paintball! Only two weapons (Paint grenade and Paint gun), but both have several levels of upgradability (larger Co2 tanks, longer barrel for distance, etc.) 5+ new "paintball" maps, + new skinz for teams, etc etc etc. Stay tuned!
