Well, I might take a shot a doing something more with F3Msl . . . >> Will there be a StratHornet this year ? Are you one of the few who I didn't get the SM 1.01 patch out to? SM 1.01 is equivalent to SF 1.22. Could you please email me your mailing info so I can get a disk out? >> Secondly, SM uses version 1.5 TSR whereas SF 1.22 uses 1.3 as a >> workaround for Win'95/MSDOS 7, should I be firing up the SF >> TSR rather than the SM version ? Actually, STRTSPRT has nothing to do with the DOS7 problem--it clears both the Hidden and R-O bit no matter what version of DOS you're running. But you are right that there's a problem in the patch! The patch is supposed to have STRTSPRT 1.5 in it, but somehow it deletes whatever it finds and puts STRTSPRT 1.3 in its place. I'll be rereleasing the fixed patch, as well as putting up STRTSPRT 1.5 for download from the web page (http://www.cris.com/~Flymuff), so people don't have to grab the whole patch again. BTW, STRTSPRT 1.3 is fine for anyone running only StratFalc; the only people who need 1.5 are those with StratMiG as well. 1.5 supports both programs; 1.3 supports only StratFalc. BTW, thanks for the subject line: (>> Subject: StratFalc - Bill White, Ace of Aces) Has a nice ring to it . . . -Bill White ------------------------------- From: Kurtz Subject: Disk vs. CD I have a question about the CD version. Does Falcon run off of the CD or is the entire program loaded to the disk? Kurtz ------------------------------- From: michael.barnes@mincom.com (Michael Barnes) Subject: 62nd Fighting Falcons 'Top Gun' Competition. ** ANNOUNCING ** On the 10th December the 62nd Fighting Falcons will be holding their first club 'Top Gun' championship, in Brisbane, Australia. The competition is also open to non-members who would like to compete against 'the best that Brisbane has to offer' (or at least we think we are :) There will be 1v1 and 2v2 duels, fought in 'best of three' matches. For added interest, we will be using FTP's Visual Head-to-head utility, so you have an open choice of any standard Falcon aircraft, or use Hornet, or MiG-29. (The UMF is banned from competition, however). For further information, feel free to email me! (P.S. this has nothing to do with the 'Top Gun' program from SH, only the 'Top Gun' pilots ;) --------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Barnes Internet: michael.barnes@mincom.com Mincom Pty Ltd Ph. +61 7 303-3148 Fax +61 7 303-3232 ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 8 : Issue 45 ]]
