At the present time, yes it is. However, I work in the USAF organization that is managing the development and acquisition of a missile approach warning system (MAWS) for USAF, USN, and USMC fighters. Its scheduled to go into production 1999. As it stands, I think F3 made a decent gameplay compromise here. Since we have such limited vision and really stupid wingmen, we do need a little help. BTW, there are some MAWS's operational on larger aircraft (C-130, etc.) and helicopters. >I heard that most of the time, when a pilot is shot down, they never know >what hit them. Is this true ? Yep. ================================================== Stuart Butts Internet: stubutts@cris.com CompuServe: 71553,356 ================================================== ------------------------------- From: Monika M Wahi Subject: Bombing I've always enjoyed the mud-moving missions more than ACM. The trouble that you're having with the bombing reticle is a bug. Instead of placing the circle-dot where you want your bombs to hit, use space between the top of the circle and the horizontal bar on the Continuously Computed Impact Point. I never found the time to become proficient with the Hornet. I'd made the conversion to the 29'th, which after I got a Thrustmaster FCS/WCS wasn't too bad, you really* need a coolie hat for trim control. It _feels_ as if the Hornet flight model is more accurate than Falcon's, though. Once in a while I'll fly a few carrier traps, but that's about all the use Hornet gets. :( Faethor ------------------------------- From: seanc@scruznet.com Subject: Fuel Question When flying missions what happens to the fuel that is left on your F-16 after you land? Does it make sence to conserve fuel when flying a mission? It seems like when flying in a campaign my fuel supply runs out and I am unable to fly any missions. -Sean ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 7 : Issue 88 ]]
