July 2 sure will be the release date in the US ( Charles?). BTW: F3 and OFT are distributed in Germany by Micropose. In my opinion they did a very good job in translating the manuals. Nevertheless I don't like the flight-sims *written* by Micropose (F15III et al.). I'd like to post something considering Falcon 4: Please SH, don't make the same mistake as Origin! Polygon-graphics are o.k. for me. How many ground-details do You see, flying with 450knts @ 300ft or @ 7000ft-12000ft? (That would probably lead to our old discussion about realism...) I've followed the discussion on the NewsNet about Strike Commander and decided not to buy it because I've "only" a 468DX33 with 4MB. If F4 would require similar system-components like SC most of us will have to explain our families/friends that the next holidays are cancelled because a new motherboard costs $$$$, and I would have to explain to my boss, why I've got a WCS and an FCS on my desk at work ;-). The easiest thing to do is to look at the openning title and credit screen. In the lower right hand corner you should see the version number, either 3.0A, 3.0C, 3.0D, 3.01, or 3.01.1. I don't even want to think of what it will look like after Mig 29, A10, and any (please no!) patches! When you patch the program, you should see a scrolling echo of what the patch is doing, it will tell you it is finding, modifying, and deleting old files. From the unzipped patch file copy all Patch.* files to your Falcon3 directory. From the Falcon3 directory type "Patch" and you should see it take off. Let us know how it goes! Good luck.
