Isn't this memory slower than conventional? Is this just for people who are having memory problems or are there other advantages? Thanks for the group, I'm really enjoying it. Steve Ten Brink ------------------------------- From: knutson@mcc.com (Jim Knutson) Subject: Re: Sound, AOA, gear, & "Elvis Lives" I can't believe nobody caught me on this. I rechecked the AOA indexer operation after I got home. The basic idea was correct, but the symbols weren't quite right. Here's how it should have read: Indexer Lights Meaning v too slow, drop nose, add power. v o you're a bit slow, drop your nose o on speed o you're a bit fast, try nose up some more ^ ^ too fast, pull nose up, reduce power The rest of the description on proper AOA for landing was ok. Remember that even though it seems counter intuitive to raise the nose above the horizon so that your can lose altitude and land, you need to do this. You just need to control your power so that you lose altitude at the proper rate. I had another thought on the following as well: > 3) I can't get the gear to retract when I abort a landing. To verify that your gear is damaged due to speed, check the right side warning light panel.
